Kate Dommett is Professor of Digital Politics at the University of Sheffield, UK. Her research focuses on digital technology and democratic politics, with a particular focus on data use, election campaigns and regulation. She has studied the use of personal data for political campaigning, political advertising, and the regulation of digital politics. Dommett was previously a Special Advisor to the House of Lords Select Committee on Democracy and Digital Technology and is currently a member of the DCMS College of Experts. Her work has featured on various media outlets including BBC Radio 4, Channel 4 News and France 24.
